AHP is seeking a writer/campaign manager with a passion for health care, behavioral health issues, public health, and healthcare reform to work in a team-based, fast-paced environment. We seek someone who wants their writing and campaign management skills to help make a difference the world.

The writer/campaign manager will work in the Marketing Department, supporting internal and external company and client marketing and communications. The role interacts with other Marketing team members, project teams, and other AHP service departments. This position is responsible for writing content across the range of marketing and communications channels, including marketing collateral, web copy, social media posts, sales materials, newsletters, staff interviews, and more. AHP supports numerous company and project websites with dynamic content, for which the copywriter/content manager would be responsible for coordinating content. This involves communicating with project teams and technical staff to ensure content is properly adapted into the best web design/copy presentation.

The position would also support campaign management for AHP projects, both for clients and for AHP internal corporate work. Campaign management includes spearheading the development of strategy and marketing plans to accomplish communication goals and then managing the implementation of the plans to successful outcomes.

As a writer/campaign manager, you will have a range of responsibilities:

  • Writing/content management:
    • Working with the Marketing team and project teams to plan, collect information, and write marketing materials and prepare them for distribution/production/publication
    • Synthesizing information and translating it through a marketing lens to convey key messages to target audiences
    • Developing written materials for print and online materials
    • Helping write sales/prospecting outreach materials
    • Applying company and project style guidance, as applicable
    • Ensuring appropriate organization, transition, grammar, readability, conciseness, and clarity of documents
    • Working with graphic artists to produce final creative deliverables
    • Coordinate content (copy and design) changes and additions to AHP and client/projects websites
    • Serve as communication liaison between project teams and technical staff/vendors to make programming changes
    • Make content recommendations to ensure best representation of information
    • Provide guidance to project teams and technical staff to meet goals for content presentation
    • Work with web platforms to make updates and changes
    • Help to manage email/eblast communications in AHP's customer relationship management system
  • Campaign management:
    • For assigned campaigns, develop the strategy and marketing plan to effectively promote the identified products/services
    • Coordinate with key AHP and client stakeholders, SMEs, and staff to brainstorm and develop strategy through planning and implementation
    • Create a marketing plan for each campaign that includes strategy, goals, audience, differentiators, positioning, key messages, and recommended tactics.
    • Project manage each assigned campaign, including putting in schedules, tracking tasks, following up with other staff, and providing reports to the Marketing Director.

Technical

  • Proficiency with Office 365
  • Knowledge of WordPress, Wix, Constant Contact, and other web/communication platforms/content management systems, or the ability to learn such platforms quickly
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Teams, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms
  • Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Deltek, and Monday.com is a plus
  • Willingness to learn and use new software, as needed

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in humanities, English, journalism, marketing, or communications
  • 5+ years' experience in marketing writing, web writing, content management, and campaign management
  • Experience writing about topics related to health care; healthcare reform; social services; and behavioral health, including mental health, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities or related fields
  • Background in marketing, science, technical writing helpful
  • Skills in proposal or grant writing for profit/nonprofit/government entities are a plus
