Description: The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is responsible for maximizing the value MotionPoint generates from a specific portfolio of accounts.

He/She does this by understanding the client's goals, creating a project plan that accomplishes these goals and then managing the project team to that plan. The SAM will also facilitate the process of identifying the Key Outcome(s) that maximizes the value of each client to MotionPoint along with the Action Items that should result in realizing these Outcome(s).

Qualified candidates will have strong experience managing multiple high-complexity projects simultaneously and are experienced in evaluating and communicating project timeline, resource, and cost information to clients and internal teams. This process requires participation from others in particular, the assigned GoToMarket Account Executive as well as the assigned Service Delivery team members. It is the SAMs responsibility to facilitate this interaction, document the Account Plan, ensure that the Action Items are executed as required to generate the Key Outcome(s), and update the Account Plan as circumstances change.

The key to success for a SAM is a clear understanding of how MotionPoint generates value for each customer. Critical to developing this deep understanding are strong relationships between the MotionPoint team and the customer. The SAM must orchestrate the development of these relationships. Developing these relationships may require the SAM to create analyses that illustrate the benefits (from the perspective of the person being influenced) of a suggested course of action. The SAM will monitor the progress of each Account Plan and its Action Items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maximize value MotionPoint generates from a specific portfolio of clients.
  2. Ensure customers understand how MP does (and could) create value for them.
  3. Establishes due dates & manages the project schedule/timeline
  4. Understand how decisions are made at each customer (by whom and for what purpose).
  5. Orchestrate client relationship building.
  6. Facilitate collaboration and be responsible for documenting the agreed upon Account Plan.
  7. Ensure Account Plans are executed and generate desired Outcome(s).
  8. Organizes and facilitates all project meetings with clients.
  9. Proactively documents project processes & changes along with lessons learned.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing multi-faceted engagements and large client interactions.
  • Experience working across multiple teams both within the department and across the company.
  • Deep understanding of MotionPoints solutions and value proposition.
  • Excellent follow-through on agreed action items.
  • Excellent executive communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to translate complex issues in an understandable way
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Effective negotiation, interpersonal and partnering skills
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The qualified candidate must be able to:

  • Operate a personal computer for up to 8 hours.
  • Move about the office to meet with co-workers and attend meetings.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and in person.
