Job Summary

Our Team
The Media Strategy & Analytics team acts as an internal global media agency that handles the strategy, buying, execution, and reporting of paid media campaigns with the goal of driving growth of Discovery's Networks and Digital Platforms.

The Role
This role is within the Global Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) pod within the larger Media Strategy & Analytics Team. The Project Specialist will provide operational support to help projects run efficiently and effectively - ensuring deadlines tied to approvals, asset delivery, etc. are met.

Responsibilities

Manage project timelines, deadlines, and requests. Includes but is not limited to, reporting and asset delivery deadlines. This is especially critical in ensuring the timely launches of campaigns and working closely with other Project Management teams on deliverables.
Assist with campaign trafficking by managing and tracking asset delivery, gathering specs, and ensuring assets are delivered within spec with the proper trafficking instructions.
Assist with compiling documents, such as PowerPoint and memos from multiple internal and external groups. In compiling, potential need for formatting and proofreading.
Responsible for managing meeting schedules (internal and external). Including coordinating meeting times, booking conference rooms, and managing calendar invites.
Serve as the POC for legal and media/measurement vendors as needed with the goal of tracking contract status and deliverables and liaise with internal teams to resolve questions.
Help create standard procedures for vendor billing - including the process for creation of POs, tracking invoices, performing service confirmations, and maintaining budget documents.
Act as a liaison with partner teams (such as Media Science, Marketing) by participate in meetings in order to take detailed notes and track deliverables with key stakeholders.
Support leadership team as needed with administrative and operational tasks.
Eagerness to pitch in on special projects as needed.

Requirements

1 year experience with project management or related field, with proven experience with completing operational and administrative tasks.

Strong interpersonal skills, including a professional phone manner and in-person presence.

Experience taking detailed notes and extracting action items.

Ability to understand priorities and adjust meetings appropriately.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Ability to use discretion when working with confidential information.

Strong grammatical and proofreading skills.

Proven project management, self-organization and prioritization skills - ability to multi-task with effective resolution management in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Self-starter, highly motivated, positive demeanor, and able to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Responsive, professional, and patient in order to always represent the department in a positive light.

Reasonable availability to reply to emails outside of normal business hours.

Detailed oriented and organized to ensure projects are successfully completed.

College degree required.

Must have the legal right to work in the US.
