Haley &Aldrich is growing and is involved with a long-term Remediation/Constructionproject in the Mobile, Alabama area and we are currently seeking a ProjectEngineer to work with a multidiscipline team to perform this project. Thisis an excellent opportunity to join a project team on a very large andcomplicated and multi-faceted project. This full-time position will be based in Mobile, Alabama and the project assignment could extend for four to fiveyears in duration.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:

  • Understand client needs and can develop strong client relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Partner with and support our Construction Manager, Project Manager, and QA/QC Manager on all aspects the project to address client goals and objectives.
  • Play a key role in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling.
  • Have experience with geotechnical laboratory test selection and evaluation.
  • Be capable of managing financial, technical, and personnel aspects of projects.
  • Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
  • Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client deliverables.
  • Be effective in assigning and managing work.
  • Demonstrate strong coaching and mentoring skills to more junior level staff.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or Construction Management
  • 3-5 years of related engineering and or civil/geotechnical construction project experience
  • Professional registration (EIT, PE, PMP, CCM) strongly preferred.
  • Experience in planning and directing geotechnical field observation and testing programs.
  • Experience in developing, understanding, and implementing construction plans and specs predominantly focused in earthwork, heavy horizontal and civil, closure and cap construction, and in-situ soil treatments and solidification.
  • Experience or knowledge of groundwater extraction and treatment methods a plus.
  • Basic skills in quality control, planning, cost estimating, and project and resource scheduling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient at writing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.
  • Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software.
  • Strong organization skills and exceptional attention to detail is expected.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility, and willingness to work in teams.
