ANSER is seeking a Defense Critical Infrastructure Protection (DCIP) analyst to support analysis of non-DoD owned assets to identify dependencies and vulnerabilities that might negatively impact DoD missions and to develop mitigation strategies for DoD senior leader consideration. The analyst will:

  • Provide technical analysis and assistance in executing the critical asset identification process to non-DoD owned defense critical infrastructure in order to identify critical dependencies.
  • Provide technical analysis and assistance for the key critical infrastructure support sectors including the industrial base, the energy infrastructure, communications, petroleum/oil/natural gas, transportation, and water.
  • Provide technical analysis, assistance and support in developing MA processes and procedures to ensure the identification of non-DoD critical infrastructure to enable strategic risk management of this category by DoD.
  • Support development, assessment, review, and packaging of non-DoD critical asset risk management plans and risk management recommendations for review by senior DoD leadership.
  • Provide technical analysis and assistance in coordination with DoD and the applicable interagency partners to collaborate with the commercial and private sectors to jointly identify and/or collect vulnerabilities to enable DoD strategic risk management.


  • 8 years related experience
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • TS /SCI clearance required


  • Experience supporting the Mission Assurance Coordination Board (MACB)
  • Experience with Mission Assurance Risk Management Systems (MARMS) development and deployment
  • Ability to rapidly prepare coordinated, analytically based decision risk management support products for DoD senior leaders
  • Experience using the mission assurance construct for strategic risk management
  • 8 or more years' experience and expertise working issues related to national security policy, critical infrastructure protection, or resilience issues and policy at the Department or Agency level.
  • Experience with Risk Management Plan (RMP) development and mission assurance assessments for Department level critical assets
  • Experience with Agency or Department level risk management and any supporting systems.
  • Expertise in critical infrastructure protection or resilience, research, strategy analysis, program guidance, implementation analysis, operational planning, or related matters
  • Experience in working in a joint environment to include a mixture of military, civil service, and contractors.
  • Experience in policy-making and staffing processes and in anticipating requirements and proactively taking action and elevating issues for senior leader attention.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical expertise to strategic level, non-expert decision maker / leaders.
  • Ability to develop productive relationships and work within multi-disciplinary formal and informal teams and counterparts across DoD and the interagency.

Master's degree in a relevant field & 8 years of related experience.
