General Plastics is looking for an experienced Maintenance Tech to join our awesome team in our Tacoma manufacturing plant!

GENERAL PLASTICS - RIGID & FLEXIBLE POLYURETHANE FOAM AND BUILD-TO-PRINT COMPOSITE PARTS

This is a general maintenance technician position will perform preventative maintenance while equipment and facilities are operating, will respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot and repair the breakdown, and will perform general maintenance on the building and grounds of the facility. May require responding during off hours and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance duties for facility, including janitorial and small repairs
• Perform basic maintenance on motorized equipment, including oil changes, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs and electrical troubleshooting.
• Constantly follow safety rules/practices to ensure performance of duties in a safe and consistent manner and comply with OSHA safe working rules and regulations
• Perform additional duties as directed by management
• Read, interpret and convey instructions, verbally and in written form

Education, Skills and Certifications

Prior maintenance experience required

Experienced electrical/plc troubleshooting preferred Good mechanical aptitude

Must have a high school diploma or GED

Must be able to receive and interpret instructions and directions from supervisors and peers

Must demonstrate good judgment to perform the job correctly and safely

The physical demand for this position requires the employee to be physically capable of working in a variety of environments and weather. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, bending, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching.

• Ability to work with or around chemical solvents
