OverviewThis position is primarily responsible for printing logos on hard hats by setting-up, including making clichs (printing plates), mixing inks, and operating tampo pad printing machines, and 100% product inspection. Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as related to production and company objectives is required. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.
Responsibilities- Set-up and operate the Pad Print machines and all support equipment used to print logos on hard hats
- Interpret all job related documentation, mix inks, and make clichs Set-up pad printers to general
- acceptable logos, recognize process deficiencies, and make compensating adjustments
- Responsible for quality, productivity, material handling, and completion of all necessary paperwork
- Must meet all Plant certification criteria
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
Proven ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
Ability to distinguish between different colors and various shades of color
Proven ability to understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices
Ability to infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to perform standard software operations
Proven ability to use power and hand tools and operate simple machines
Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments
Ability to prioritize and organize work, work in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to perform lockout / tag-out
Ability to obtain a fork truck certification
Ability to operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area
- Ability to wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes and other PPE as required
