The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in Philadelphia is seeking an Information Management Analyst, reporting to the Director, Business Analytics & Data Integration, to be responsible for supporting strategic and transactional work using internal database resources. The Information Management Analyst collaborates and supports all levels of Board staff through the maintenance and ability to provide accurate and reliable reports that include eligibility, enrollment, benefits, and claim information.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Gather, validate, and transform data for use in strategic Benefits Team decision making and daily operational tasks, working effectively with all levels of Board staff, and adhering to standard operating procedures for internal processes and data security requirements.
  • Work with external vendor representatives, using various data sources, to deliver accurate and timely reporting, and to review, reconcile, and prepare vendor claims and service fee invoices, ensuring the Board pays claims and fees per contracted agreements and identifies and resolves issues.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Information Analyst to support Medical Plan pricing through the maintenance and execution of related processes, and on testing and maintenance of eligibility files.
  • Generate monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports, providing Finance & Accounting, Plan Operations, and Affiliate Markets accurate reporting to support strategic decision making.


  • Bachelor's degree in data analysis, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with enterprise and health data intelligence solutions, including HRIS-type systems or similar; PeopleSoft experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical plan design and self-funding concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of data filtering, manipulation, gathering, pivot tables, and dashboard.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access and knowledge of query writing logic and database maintenance, SQL a plus.
  • Proficiency with software packages applicable to data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of report writing tools and concepts.
  • Familiarity with standard medical coding such as ICD10, HCPCs, etc.
  • An ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal instruction and supervision, and be an effective contributor in a team environment, making informed decisions and sound judgments regarding complex issues.
  • An ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • A desire to stay current and maintain a level of expertise with advances in information management and data analytics via seminars, literature, and formal training.
  • An ability to effectively work remotely utilizing an uninterrupted internet connection, as required.
