Overview

Position Title: Head of Finance GBS & Procurement Operations

Location: Atlanta, GA, Burbank, CA, Knoxville, TN, or Warsaw, Poland

Reports to: EVP Head of Global Shared Services

General Summary:

The Head of Finance GBS & Procurement Operations will hold a key leadership position within the WBD mutli-functional Shared Services Organization. This position oversees a team who supports the critical day-to-day operations of Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Payroll and certain transactional accounting. This role will exercise leadership accountability for processes and performance, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and internal controls. The leader will establish and manage service level agreements (SLAs) with internal and external stakeholders as well as measure performance of each area based upon established metrics. Management of Business Process Outsource (BPO) providers (where applicable) will be extremely important to the success of this individual. An important aspect of this role will be to communicate the vision and goals of the shared service function within the organization in a highly collaborative and positive manner and drive execution. This role will require an ability to effectively partner across the organization and interact regularly with WBD senior management and professional service providers, including the external audit team.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the global delivery of the Finance GBS & Procurement shared services processes and the management of regional functional leaders for each organization
  • Ensure a results driven organization with a focus of continuous improvement
  • Provide vision, strategic leadership, planning, and guidance for the development, implementation, and management of an effective organization
  • Lead the teams to create, build, and implement effective, efficient, and consistent operational processes, leveraging technology improvements and ensuring optimal utilization of all resources
  • Guide integration and transition of legacy teams into the new company organizational structure as well as serve as a key contributor to the implementation of the new accounting platform SAP S/4 HANA. Serve as subject matter expert for existing systems and processes throughout integration and implementation efforts
  • Act as a key stakeholder in aligning processes and technologies across locations with a goal of driving process efficiencies
  • Accountable for the overall operations scorecard, including service level agreements (SLA), metrics, resources, and financial management
  • Develop KPIs and benchmarks for internal customers and external vendors
  • Define and communicate to business leadership internally set service quality standards and metrics that are consistent with external benchmarks of high performing organizations; ensure that all aspects of work consistently and achieves performance standards
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with internal and external business customers to ensure effective delivery of services
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory laws
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and other established controls
  • Work with external auditors to provide requested documentation
  • Effectively lead a team of professionals by developing talent and cultivating a high-performance culture, building a strong global team
  • Participate in high visibility and impact projects when relevant
  • Strong coordination with the Strategy & Transformation and Governance & Customer Experience teams

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in a related field (e.g. accounting, finance); Masters degree in a related field (e.g. MBA) a plus
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience of large corporation experience in global shared services
  • Experience in project management and process improvement (e.g. Lean Process Improvement, Six Sigma, etc.); PMP a plus
  • Media and high-volume transaction experience
  • Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience working in a SOX compliant environment
  • Experience managing a Business Process Outsourcer (BPO) arrangement
  • Experience with managing Service Level Agreement (SLA), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and performance metrics to drive results
  • Experience managing large teams across various locations
  • Attention to detail and accuracy as well as strong organizational skills and results oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to assess and measure impact and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Proven ability to build confidence and trust with internal and external constituencies and provide excellent customer service
  • Strong management, training, and development experience and skills
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to proactively manage a variety of projects and timelines; demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and an ability to manage multiple assignments and deliverables
  • Experience with SAP accounting systems and implementation
  • Willingness and ability to travel
