Summary of Position
The Head of Capital Markets & Strategic FCF Management is responsible for analyzing and managing the capital structure and financial risks of the company, forecasting and driving improved Free Cash Flow conversion and earnings, and monitoring and assessing minority/JV investments. The successful candidate will have strong technical and analytical skills, the ability to work and drive results across teams, and superior presentation and explanatory skills. This position requires in depth knowledge of financial markets and accounting, as well as the ability to abstract from the details to understand the big picture of business drivers and opportunities.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities
  • Free cash flow forecasting. Requires collaboration across business units (including
    content, revenue generation, and procurement) to produce accurate forecasts for
    management discussion, as well as identifying risks and opportunities to the forecast.
  • Free cash flow optimization. Origination and execution of ideas (both internal and
    external) to improve free cash flow conversion, on the path to our target 60%
    conversion rate.
  • Capital structure activity, including origination and execution of capital
    raising/distribution activities (debt, revolver, liability management, share repurchase,
    etc.). Includes responsibility for bespoke financing products.
  • Financial risk management, including interest rate and FX exposure. Need to institute
    processes to appropriately assess and monitor exposures, and propose and execute
    transactions to mitigate.
  • Bank/rating agency relationship management. Primary responsibility (in coordination
    with Ops vertical) for maintaining relationships with key lending partners and rating
    agencies.
  • Below-EBITDA forecasting and reporting. Forecast and report on all P&L activity below
    EBITDA to guide net income forecasting
  • Investment controlling. Maintain database of financial performance related to minority
    investments and JVs. Develop process to analyze investments at time of entry, as well
    as tracking performance against projected goals. Glean learnings from that analysis to
    inform future investment decisions.
  • Compliance and reporting. Maintain all SEC and related deliverables and
    month/quarter end processes.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Work Experience
  • 15+ years experience in financial analysis and transaction/financing execution (i.e., M&A, Private Equity, Investment Banking, Commercial Banking or Corporate Development)
  • Experience working with multiple internal/external stakeholders within the context of a transaction
    and coordinated various workstreams (i.e., lawyers, accountants, tax, and other specialists, etc.)

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
  • Undergraduate degree in business with concentrations in finance and/or accounting plus CPA,
    CFA or MBA, or equivalent work experience demonstrating such knowledge


Knowledge/Skills
  • Strong knowledge of debt and equity products
  • Strong knowledge of derivative products
  • Strong sales and marketing skills and boardroom presence
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation / lead advisory skills
