POSITION SUMMARY
A detail-oriented and outcome-driven position that is part administrator and part teacher. The Education Coordinator will be a driving force in the implementation of Milwaukee Rep's school programming (Reading Residency, Virtual CAESAR and A Christmas Carol Reading Residencies, School Subscription, Student Matinees, Immersion Days, Workshops-as-requested, and Summer Academy).
Major Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Write curriculum for the in-school Reading Residency and arts-integrated Summer Academy programming
- Oversee logistics for implementing programs into school classrooms
- Oversee and collaborate with the Education Administrator on the implementation and logistics of Student Matinees, and Rep Immersion Days
- Serve as Teaching Artist for the Reading Residency Program and other programs as assigned
- Observe other Teaching Artists to assess success of assigned placements, curriculum, and provide support as needed, in collaboration with the Associate Director of Education
- Manage the School Subscription program and curriculum in partnership with the Education Resident
Technical Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Theatre or Education OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Well-rounded understanding of theatre including performance and production
- Knowledge of arts integration strategies a plus
- Possess a valid U.S driver's license and access to use of a personal vehicle
Additional Qualifications:
- Understanding of curriculum development
- Well-rounded understanding of theatre including performance and production

- Experience organizing information with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets)
- Ability to maintain an active driver's license, good driving history, and access to a vehicle for required travel to schools. Ability to provide proof of insurance
