POSITION PURPOSE

The Compliance Manager is responsible in operationalizing the day-to-day activities associated with the Compliance Program.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement organizations Compliance Program and Annual Work Plan as directed by organizations Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Manage Compliance Department staff and guide them through day-to-day work.
  • Manage compliance and privacy investigations, and coordinate with Chief Compliance Officer on actions and outcomes.
  • Conduct and assign Fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA)audits and investigations.
  • Complete relevant Compliance and FWA reporting.
  • Develop and track monitoring activities.
  • Assign and track corrective actions plans.
  • Design, execute, and assign internal and provider audits.
  • Coordinate with Chief Compliance Officer on responding to external audits.
  • Complete subcontractor audit.
  • Implement organizations Compliance training strategies (e.g. Annual trainings, newsletters, lunch-n-learns).
  • Comply with organizations internal policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, Compliance Plan, along with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree required, Master degree preferred
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
  • 4+ years experience in healthcare compliance, privacy, and/or auditing.
  • Experience in health plan compliance, specifically with Oregons Coordinated Care Organizations environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of applicable rules and regulations.
  • Ability to operate autonomously.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Typical office environment requiring standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. May be exposed to patient and environment conditions such as unpleasant sights, smells and contagious diseases.
